Patty Murphy

Patty Murphy Handmade

Patty has been sewing since she was 6 years old. She immersed herself in dressmaking until she found quilting at 18. She ditched the zipper foot for a 1/4” foot and only occasionally looks back.

Since making her first quilt nearly 30 years ago, Patty has designed hundreds more. She teaches at a local shop and travels nationally to lecture and teach to guilds. Patty has several blue ribbon quilts and has had her work juried into shows around the US. Patty has had her work in magazines and is the author of the best selling book, Piecing Makeover (2016, C&T).

Patty recently helped start a local MQG so she could have a home guild. When she isn’t sewing, she’s with her family, volunteering at her kids’ schools, and is an avid cross-fitter

Mini-Project:

Needle Case

In this mini-class we’ll discuss Kraftex: what it is, how to use
it and then you will make this fun needle case.

It measures 5.75’’ x 7.5’’ finished so it’s the perfect size
to throw into your bag for on the go projects.
